Coconut Green Drink

A take on Dr. Oz’s Green Drink.Coconut Green Drink

Refreshing way to start your day! This drink is high in fiber, low in calories and rich in vitamins.

Makes 1 serving

1 apple chopped (toss stem and use the rest of apple), gets your apple a day in

1 piece of ginger (stimulates digestive tract and reduces inflamation) to taste approximately 1″ piece chopped with skin. Start with a small piece and work your way up if the flavor is too strong.

1 cup spinach (cleanses blood of toxins)

1 handful parsley (prevents cancer, protects your heart and freshens breath)

1/2 cucumber (cleanses blood, lifts depression, purifies skin) chopped with skin

1 lime (detoxifying) juiced

1 lemon (detoxifying) juiced

1 celery (helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol) stalk (use this as your tool in the blender)

3 or 4 tablespoons ground organic flax seed

3 to 4 tablespoons S.L. Hermann Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (strengthens immune system)

Put all ingredients in your blender, blend and serve! Initially if you have a lot of sugar in your diet it may be alittle tart and may take a few days to get use to it. I’ve been drinking it for about 5 years, 5 days a week and look forward to it.
